It’s time

Pruning isn’t punishment. Fruit trees are pruned so that they will yield the sweetest and healthiest fruit, not too much that the weight of it would break its branches.

In 2017 God invited me to allow Him to prune me. He took away some things from my life that were weighing me down and about to break me. Not because they weren’t good, but because they weren’t His best for me and for how He created me to serve others.

For a while, I thought the pruning was punishment because I had failed in some way. Until one day when He taught me the true purpose of pruning. It freed my heart to enjoy His pruning, knowing that what was coming in the next season would be so much sweeter than the last.

So I allowed Him to take away some areas of my business that weren’t for the coming seasons: weddings and family portraits. He showed me the people that I’m called to serve – women in business – and told me that I have grace to serve them with any and all gifting that He has given me.

This post is a declaration that I’m coming out of a past season of preparation for this new season. I felt like I was in hiding for the past few years, but really God just planted me in a new place and my roots have been growing deep in Him during that time. At the very beginning of all of this, God gave me this scripture to hold onto…

“Stop dwelling on the past.

Don’t even remember these former things.

I am doing something brand new, something unheard of.

Even now it sprouts and grows and matures.

    Don’t you perceive it?

I will make a way in the wilderness

and open up flowing streams in the desert.” – Isaiah 43:18-19 TPT

For two and a half years this promise sat below the surface, unseen. Now it’s seen and flowing in both the spiritual and the natural. Want in? Say “yes” and partner your faith to the new thing God is doing in and through you! Take one baby step at a time and don’t look back.
