Have you ever had thoughts that question what God has said to you either personally or through Scripture? Any thought that makes you question what God has said IS NOT FROM HIM. When I face these kinds of thoughts I stand on what God HAS said. I remind myself of Scripture, I worship in spirit & truth, and I review my personal promises of God.
“For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide. We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.”2 Corinthians 10:3-5 TPT
Recently, I’ve heard thoughts like “What you are building is going to fail. You are out of time. You aren’t going to have what you need.” But, I know that NONE of these are true because God has told me otherwise. So I rehearse His promises and declare them over my circumstances. Here’s an example, the weekend before Together Studios was to open our van broke down. It’s our only vehicle and my only way to travel for work. I was faced with the thought “you aren’t going to have what you need, see you’re so terrible with providing for your family you can’t even afford a spare vehicle.” It was SO blatantly accusatory I actually laughed and declared that I WOULD have everything that I needed to accomplish the task God has given me.
Our dealership gave us a loaner vehicle for free while they evaluated our van. Come to find out it was a mistake on their part from a few weeks prior and they ruined our engine. They took full ownership and replaced our engine for free. SEE! I had everything that I needed and more!
If you find yourself in a similar place I speak PEACE over you and an outpouring of reminders of God’s promises over your life and circumstances as you take every thought captive. Our Father is SO GOOD! He has abundantly more than what we need and has EVERY resource for the callings He has given you!
